Nothing to Blog...

I haven't posted in a while because, well, there really hasn't been much going on in the dovecote (The reference is from Little Women.).

We've done a little hiking, a little walking (5 miles today), and a lot of ministry.

My life has been so busy because I am a youth leader and a college/career leader. I love being busy. Especially with what I am being busy with. I think my favorite part is praying for people. There is something so special about praying for/with others during altar time.

Other than those things... like I said, there isn't really much going on. Nothing to blog about anyway.

Grown Up Snow Days!

It doesn't snow very often in Tennessee, so when it does, it's a big deal.

Sunday night it snowed 8 inches, which is basically unheard of (the last time was 1993). Anyway, as a result of so much snow Justin didn't have to go into work yesterday or today! We got a couple grown-up snow days! Its so much fun to have extra time with my hubby.

Today we decided to make snowmen! Something we haven't done in a long time. The snow was perfect for it. Here are our photos from our fun today.

Muah! Snowy love.

Winter Jam 2011

Last night Justin and I went to Chattanooga and saw Winter Jam 2011. It was awesome.

We saw Chris Sligh, Chris August, RED, NewSong, Sidewalk Prophets, Francesca Battistelli, David Crowder Band, and Newboys! All in one night! It was an incredible night of worship.

Justin and me at the concert.

Here is a quick little video of the 9,500+ crowd:

Francesca Battistelli singing and what the stage looked like.
At the end of the night the Newsboys sang. It was kinda weird though, because non of the original Newsboys were there... It was still a pretty cool show... Here is a video:

I think the best part of the whole night was being on a date with my wonderful husband.

Last night was Justin and my first Wednesday night as youth leaders at our new church. The youth group calls itself Elevate Student Ministries.

It was an interesting night. I have so many ideas, and want to meet each one of the students and show them how awesome our God is! I think last night was a wake-up call for me. I'm going to need to slow down and do A LOT of praying.

God knows knows the plans for Elevate Student Ministries and every student there.
11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

New Years Eve

Justin and I celebrated News Years Eve in a very special way this year... December 31, 2010 was his maternal grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary! The whole family came down to Gatlinburg and we threw them a surprise party!
They were so surprised when they walked through the door!
Grandma and Grandpa cutting their cake.
Tiffany, Sarah, Mom B, and me before the guests started to arrive.

We tried and tried to take a family photo, but it just wasn't working. So this is the best one. Sadly, Dad B's face is blocked and Aaron wasn't in the photo... he was taking it.

This is what part of  the room looked like.
It was a wonderful evening of celebrating a wonderful couple. I pray that someday Justin and I will celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary! LOL, we have a long way to go!
