Date "Night"

Last Wednesday Justin texted me from work and asked if it was possible to get a babysitter for Jonah for sometime on Saturday. He wanted to take me to a movie; our first date/ time for just the two of us since Jonah has been born (over 3.5 months ago). I was thrilled at first, got the most recommended babysitter from our church, bought the tickets, started to tidy up the house, etc.

Then Saturday comes. I started to lose it; funny heart beating, tears, the whole deal. This was the first time I was going to leave my baby with a sitter! However, we already bought the tickets, so I did my best to suck it up and go on a date with my hubby (what a hardship, I know)! We saw the matinee showing of "The Hunger Games". It was pretty good. Of course not as good as the books, but still they did a decent job.

After the movie we jumped back in the car, and got home as soon as we could. Jonah did great, the babysitter said he was a good boy. I hugged him for a long time, and he acted like I never left. So all things considered, date "night" (even though it was afternoon) was a success. We will probably do it again soon.
