Comparing Pregnancy Cravings

This is my second pregnancy. And honestly, my last one is still very fresh in my mind (the boys will be 15 months apart), so I have been doing a lot of comparing and contrasting in my crazy preggo mind.

Recently we had a 4D ultrasound done of Levi, and I was a tad obsessed with comparing it to Jonah's 4D ultrasound. I even wrote a post about it here, and asked y'all to compare them with me!

Well, now I've moved on to comparing my cravings. I find it interesting how similar and yet different these pregnancies are. I denied that I was pregnant for about a month before I took a test because I thought all pregnancies are different, so there was no way that the same things that made me sick last time would make me sick this go around (i.e. eggs and hot dogs). Alas, they do indeed make me queasy. However, the things that are different are what I actually want to eat.

Last pregnancy I had freakishly strong cravings... it was like I physically needed those foods. Mostly it was red meat and anything lemony. I also wouldn't say no to large amounts of garlic ANYTHING towards the end.

This pregnancy I still have cravings, but they are much more mild. I still really want them, but I don't dream about them, and tell my husband I might die without them (yes, I went there...). This time I crave salad, root beer, and pretty much anything with cinnamon on it. If my meals consisted of various salads, churros, cinnamon rolls, and gallons of root beer, I would be a very happy pregnant woman. But I'm doing my best to get a more, um, varied source for my nutritional needs. I figure it will be better for Levi that way.

That doesn't mean though, that I don't cave once in a while and beg my wonderful, supportive hubby to go on a 7pm churro and root beer run for me...

    1. Walt Disney World was actually the first place I had a churro! So when Taco Bell started selling them I was excited. It's not quite the same, but I can't be too picky!
