Levi is 5 Months

Levi weighs 14.6 lbs (20%), is 24 1/4 in tall (15%), and evidently, has a big head (75%) Ha!

Still going strong in cloth diapers, but we no longer use the newborn insert. If we travel he's in size 2 disposables. Levi is eating 6 ounces of formula every 4 hours during the day. We are down to one feeding a night, with a dream feed around 10:30 or 11 at night. He has slept through the night once, and Justin getting up at 4:30 a.m. with him is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Mr. Rolly-Polly is no longer being swaddled, and every time I lay him down to sleep, he immediately rolls over onto his tummy and falls asleep that way.

Levi still refuses to sit in the bumbo, bouncy-seat, or anything else. He's getting really really close to sitting up by himself. He plays with Jonah toys all of the time. If Jo leaves one too close he'll grab it and play with it. Occasionally Jonah will actually hand him one, and he LOVES that. His favorite toy is his big brother. Levi has also said "Mama" twice! I'm sure he had no idea what he was doing, but he still said it! Little man has also tried rice cereal and bananas a few times. The monkey definitely prefers the bananas.

Jonah and the Pig

A few years ago my mum gave me an Easter basket (Yes, I still get an Easter basket, and no, I won't grow up!) in it was a cute stuffed pig and the movie Charlotte's Web.

Well, I had put them away... Until today. I turned the movie on for Jo, and partway into it, I remembered the stuffed pig. I handed it to Jonah, and oh boy! You'd think it was Christmas or something!

Jonah is in love.

New Title

I'm giving myself a new title.
Well, actually, my husband gave it to me; so I guess I'm claiming it.

Home Manager.

I used to be proud of my title as housewife, (The name of this blog was even The Modern Housewife once.) then I became a stay-at-home mom. I'm proud of that too. But something happened when I became a mom of two Littles 15 months apart... I became stressed and overwhelmed. (Shocker, right?)

I had somehow gotten it in my head that I had to juggle everything by myself. That if my sweet hubby had to put a boy to bed, or move a load of laundry, that I was failing. And, well, I "failed" everyday. I couldn't do it all on my own and stay sane. Worse, I knew in my heart that I was being irrational, but my head didn't care. I could do everything before, why not now?

It was even starting to affect our marriage.

So Sunday night Justin and I talked, I felt better knowing he didn't mind moving a load of laundry, and he actually enjoyed tucking Jonah into bed. But my head still wasn't happy. Finally Justin explained that I don't need to do everything myself: I just need to make sure it somehow gets done. If I delegate something like putting a kiddo to bed, I'm still doing my duty because its getting done.

When he explained it like that, it made total sense... And my silly head became happy.

So I am now the home-manager. Look for my new business cards next week. (I kid...)

Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie

I have been drinking a lot of smoothies recently; and I found out that strawberry banana can get old really quick. So I've been looking on Pinterest and creating a few of my own.

Here is one I created this morning... Its really good.

Strawberry Cheesecake Smoothie
 (Makes 1 20oz serving)

1 cup ice
1/2 cup vanilla greek yogurt
1/2 cup frozen strawberries
2 tsp cheesecake pudding mix
1 cup milk
And a dash of splenda or sugar

Blend all ingredients, and enjoy!

Life Lately.... Nice Routine

Crazy, un-tamable bed-head.

Ride 'em cowboy!

This is what happens when a wee little one wakes at 5:30 in the morning...

Mama's little monsters... (Mike Wazowski outfits...)

FIRST ice cream cone. (AKA Mama and Daddy got tire of sharing...)

My men!

Jonah's first carousel ride.
Life lately has been busy, but we are settling into a nice routine... I suppose when you give birth to boy boys with 15 months a each other you sign yourself up for a life of blessings and busy.
