Pumpkin Carving 2015

First off, let it be known that Jonah was heart-broken we were going to cut up his beloved pumpkin until we explained to him that the pumpkin is like a carrot... it can't feel. So cute. So silly.

Second, pumpkin guts can apparently ONLY be touched by grown-ups because little boys "don't like to get dirty, we might get germs..." Riiiiiiiight. Germs. From pumpkin guts. I was tempted to go all old school and be like, "well, at least your pumpkin guts are warm, when I was your age, my pumpkin guts were freezing cold..." but I didn't. Yet. I'll save that one for another year.

Third, the photo dump.
Watching Justin cut open the beloved pumpkin...
Surprise! There are seeds inside.
You want us to touch WHAT?
Helping Daddy scoop out seeds with spoons, because they might get germs...
The final product.
Levi's is a "happy pumpkin," and Jo's is a "scary pumpkin."

Family Photos 2015

When we visited family last August, my mum hired a photographer to take family photos. I LOVE how they turned out! They are really nice photos, but still feel like our family. For example, my boys are still silly little boys instead of perfectly posed and pressed. They feel like real life.

Livin' with the In-Laws

For the past two weeks (15 days to be exact), the boys and I spent time with our family in Michigan. Justin had some crazy things going on at work, and we knew all his free time was going to be spent sleeping. So the boys and I flew to stay with the in-laws. Honestly, we were spoiled rotten by Nana Lynne and Cocoa Papa, but we missed Justin something awful.
Jumpin in the leaves
Hanging with Uncle Adam
Justin had flowers delivered to me!
Playing at the park with Nana Wendy
Jumpin at the trampoline park!
First experience trick-or-treating. They got to wear costumes that Nana Lynne made for Justin and Uncle Michael years ago!
Me and my boys.
We had so much fun! Many new experiences, and fun new activities; but nothing beat coming home to Daddy.

The Pumpkin Patch

Jonah had a field trip today to Mrs. Heather's Pumpkin Patch. Levi and I decided to tag along. It was a lot of fun, and my boys haven't been so well behaved in a long time. It was a wonderful morning.

Birthday Weekend in Orange Beach

My sweet hubby took us to Orange Beach, Alabama this past weekend. It was my birthday. I am now 27.

My man cubs could not have been better, and we had a wonderful trip. It started out on Friday when we drove the long, long trip and made it to the hotel. The boys woke me up bright and early the next morning, sang "happy birthday," and Jo even gave me a special kiss. We ate got ready, ate breakfast and then went to the beach. We actually spent over an hour on the beach! It was a tad chilly, but beautiful. Fun was had by all. Justin found shark teeth, Jonah got wet, and Levi got to dig in the sand.

After the beach, we went to Lamberts, which is a strange, but yummy restaurant that throws rolls at you. Odd, but fun; and so yummy. Nap time was next followed by antiquing (which the boys love), TCBY, and some shopping at Tanger. It was a busy day, but a lot of fun.

The next morning (today) we woke, went to the beach one last time, froze on the beach, and then drove home.
Kisses
Getting wet with Daddy.
Digging... Levi's new favorite thing.
Yummy rolls at Lamberts
TCBY instead of birthday cake. Levi was cold.
My birthday card from the boys. They know that hearts and pink are always mommy's... so they picked this card out. The best part? The inside.
They had just discovered bacon the previous week, and ate a ton of it. Plus, the hands are pretty cute.

It was a quick getaway, but a blessed one. I am so thankful for my family.
