3 months for Benjamin

Benjamin weighs 12 pounds 6 ounces. He really shouldn't be wearing 3 month clothing... as you can see from this picture... his little tummy is popping through! But 6 month look huge on him. Oh well, at least that belly is cute!

He is in size 3 diapers. He had a growth spurt, and we only went though one package of size two diapers! It's crazy how fast these munchkins grow.

He eats every 2.5 hours during the day, occasionally 3. Previously he was exclusively breastfed, but about 3 weeks ago my sweet little Benny could not stop crying. He was nursing every 1 to 1.5 hours. He was hungry, and tired. This lasted about a week. I knew it wasn't a growth spurt as those only last a few days. And I tried changing my diet to help... it didn't. Finally I gave him a few ounces of formula after he breastfed, and instantly I had my happy baby back.

As a wonderful side-effect of supplementing with formula, Benny is sleeping in 4 hour stretches at night. He's sleeping wonderfully in the pack n' play. Even during the day, he only fusses for a minute or two before falling asleep. The only downside to sleep training going so well is that sleeping in the car seat or in our arms when we are out and about is almost non-existent.

Benji's favorite things are still Daddy's eyebrows, when Jonah talks with him; and I get BIG grins when I say "mama." Apparently it's hilarious.

He's starting cooing and trying to talk. It's so cute.
Laughing at me saying, "Mama."
